- Where can I send products for repair?
We will gladly repair or replace any of our products. In the unlikely event your machine has a fault please send it to one of the following addresses. Machines covered by warranty will, at our discretion either be repaired or replaced: :

- Is there a service centre near me where I can drop the product off?
Our service centre is located in Anif, near Salzburg in Austria. See your user manual for alternative drop-off points. Please send us your product by post.
- What do I have to send?
The machine, preferably complete with all accessories. It is imperative that you send us your receipt, the guarantee certificate and a description of the fault. Do not forget to include your telephone number in case we need to contact you. For further details see the guarantee certificate in the operating manual.
If the product is heavy or bulky please contact our service centre first.
- How long do repairs take?
Repairs are usually completed within two working days. Please note that delivery takes a few days and that delays can be caused by bank holidays.
- Are replacement parts available for my machine?
We have a wide range of spare parts for all of our power tools in stock. We will contact you if the part you require is not in stock.
- How do I order replacement parts? ?
The quickest way to order replacement parts is to use this form.
Alternatively, you can order spare parts by phone, fax, post or email. (See above for contact details)
- • What information do our service engineers need to identify the product?
Always have the product, packaging and instruction manual with you before you call.
Tell us the product name and the article number. The article number (art. no., art nr.) is a 4-7 digit number (e.g. 2579, 4301174, N630076, R620001, S611942 etc.) and is printed on the cover of your instruction manual or on the product itself.
We may not be able to identify your product from the model designation alone, and always need the article number.
- Need a replacement operating manual?
No problem. We can send you a replacement free of charge
The quickest way is by email. Simply send us the name of the product, the article number and the year of manufacture by email to service@walter.co.at Note: We may not be able to identify your product from the model designation alone, and always need the article number.
If you do not have an email address we can send you a replacement operating manual by post.
- • How can I order consumables such as saw blades, sanding sheets, drill bits and cutting bits etc for my tool?

FAQs For power tools
In this section we have posted a selection of frequently asked technical questions to help you find the solution to your problem as quickly as possible. Our service technicians are also pleased to answer your questions. Please send us your feedback as we are constantly seeking to expand and improve this section.
Power tools: :
- Sparks produced from the motor.
Possible causes:
a.) The machine is not yet ‚run in’: Run the machine at no load for 10 – 15 minutes. Switch the machine ON and OFF intermittently to allow it to cool. If the machine does not stop ‚sparking’ the carbon brushes may be damaged. Do not use the machine and contact our service centre.
b.) Carbon brushes worn out: See the replacement instructions in your operating manual.
c.) Other: Contact the Walter Service Centre
- The machine runs and then stops or will not turn on:
Possible causes:
a.) The machine is overheated and the thermal protection device is active: Allow the machine to cool down: Note: Power tools can overheat if the ambient temperature is high. If possible, use your tool at room temperature. Follow the instructions in your operating manual.
b.) Defective power switch / other cause: Contact our service centre.
- Your drill chuck or tool holder jams or does not hold the tool properly:
Clean the chuck or tool holder thoroughly. Chips or dirt are often the cause of problems with chucks and tool holders.
- Can I purchase a replacement chuck?
We stock chucks suitable for most types of power drill or rotary hammer.
- Unusual noises or smells are produced:
Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the mains. Contact the Walter Service Centre
- Damaged mains cable
Machines with damaged mains cables may not be used. Mains cables may only be replaced by a qualified electrician or a similarly qualified person.
Cordless tools:
- Battery capacity is low when the tool is used for the first time:
This is normal. Nickel cadmium batteries reach their full capacity only after several charge/recharge cycles.
- Battery capacity decreases:
Always charge the battery completely and do not charge again until the machine’s performance drops noticeably. This prevents ?memory effect’ affecting the battery’s performance or reducing its service life.
If the battery capacity does not increase after several charge/recharge cycles it is likely to have a fault. Contact our service centre.
- Are replacement batteries available for my machine?
- The battery heats up whilst charging:
This is normal and does not indicate a fault.
- Which parts must I send in if the machine does not charge?
If possible send all parts supplied. We require at least the battery, the mains adapter and/or the battery charger.
Safes:
- he safe cannot be opened using the numeric keypad.
a.) The batteries have expired-> replace the batteries
b.) The code is incorrect -> Open the safe using the emergency keys and program a new code in accordance with the safe’s operating instructions.
c.) If after following the above you are still unable to open the safe using the numeric keypad please contact our service centre.
- Can I order replacement safe keys?
Yes. For security reasons we ask you to provide us with a copy of the receipt, the security code and photo I.D.

Power station:
- The machine does not perform as expected and the battery cannot be charged:
Possible causes:
a) Main fuse missing or not firmly seated
b) Mains charger not correctly connected
c) Other cause; please contact our service centre.
Compressors:
- Safety valve is jammed:
Pull the ring repeatedly to clear the jam.
- The compressor motor goes on and off at the wrong pressure setting:
Have a competent person adjust the pressure switch setting.
- Serious leakage
